Ways to Use ChatGPT and Other LLMs to Improve Your Law Firm Marketing Content Creation Process

5 Ways to use ChatGPT

Hello and good day. Welcome to this episode of Law Bard’s five things. In a recent 5 things episode, we discussed AI Content Generators and 5 things you should not do when using them. Today, we wanted to discuss five ways that you can use ChatGPT and other similar Large Language Models or LLMs to improve your digital content creation process, as well as identify ChatGPT prompts that you can use to perform these tasks.

First off, you can use these tools to edit and improve content that you previously created. By inputting content and asking for suggestions, you will get ideas for improvement. Remember, when you input the content, also make sure to input that you want to keep the original tone of voice of the post. An example ChatGPT prompt for this is "Please review and suggest improvements for this content while maintaining the original tone."

Second, you can use the tools to edit your content for SEO purposes. To do this, prompt ChatGPT to optimize your article for desired keywords. You can prompt for specific key word densities, prompt to optimize for similar terms and / or long tail terms. An example prompt is “Please optimize this article for [desired keywords] and ensure appropriate keyword density."

Third, you can use these tools to create an outline of an article by entering in an article headline. You can ask for multiple criteria besides just asking for an outline. You can ask for FAQ sections. You can ask for relevant key words, external links for anchor text, etc. This then helps you organize your thoughts and ideas. Remember, while you can also have the tool create the article, this is not advisable as the article will not have your voice or point of view or show your expertise or knowledge. Further, as previously discussed, using AI-generated content may actually hurt your search engine rankings. An example prompt would be "Create an outline for an article with the headline '[article headline].' Include sections for FAQs, relevant keywords, and external links."

Fourth, you can use ChatGPT to repackage and / or summarize content. For example, If you want to repackage a blog article for use in a video, you can ask Chat to create a script from the article and then use an AI video presentation tool like Synthesia, which will create an avatar to present the script. Similarly, if you want to use social channels like X or LinkedIn to drive clicks back to your original post, you can ask Chat to summarize an article and then post that article on your social channels backlinking to the original article. An example prompt to create a video script is “Please create a script summarizing this article for a video presentation."

Fifth, asking for Chat to provide stats, FAQs and Fun Facts. Obviously, a large part of success in creating digital content is making sure that the reader is engaged. Providing additional content around statistics, fun facts, quotes or different opinions can greatly improve engagement around what could be a boring piece of content. An example prompt is "Provide additional engaging content such as statistics, FAQs, and Fun Facts related to this topic."

Remember, there are a lot of great AI tools that can help improve your content creation process. Don’t be afraid to ask for different things at the ChatGPT or Gemini prompt, but remember, for lawyers marketing their firms, these LLM tools are great at improving your content creation but not at doing the content creation.
