Today I want to talk about the holidays. Because so much can happen, so much is activated inside of us during the holidays. So much is activated that creates stress within us that has to do with all the money that needs to be spent on gifts, or we think needs to be spent on gifts. People who are no longer in our life that used to be in our life. There are a lot of things that get triggered during the holidays. And what I want to say to you guys is that there is a way to make space for these emotions and welcome these emotions, to inspect these emotions, to get curious about these emotions so that we can learn from them and shift back to our freedom, our peace, and our joy. There is no specific way we have to do anything, including the holidays. Expectations can kill the joy in anything.
So just for today, I am proposing that you take those expectations off yourself, to take those expectations off the holiday, off of the new year, that it has to be a certain way. It is just another time. And the gift we call life and when we learn how to traverse that life on a day to day basis, with certain practices, and perspectives, and mindset, every single day, every single moment can become the gift rather than feeling all this pressure for a certain time of year to live up to a certain expectations.
