The best platform to use in one that fits your law firm’s marketing strategy, your target audience, your budget, your time, your content, and the firm or attorney using it. Every social media platform is different and can be useful for different goals. What works for one, may not work for another.

The biggest platforms today are LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Whatever platform you choose, it takes time to develop, must be consistently used, and you must have quality content.

LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network on the internet. LinkedIn is best used by attorneys looking to connect with other attorneys or attorneys who primarily have businesses for clients.

Twitter is where people go for current news and insights. Law firms use Twitter as a way to keep up to date with and engage in trending topics within your areas of interest and can also act as a platform for you to release news about your firm.

Facebook is the oldest social network. Facebook is best used to show the connection between your firm and your community and general brand building.

Instagram allows you to take, edit, share, and publish photos and videos with your audience. Instagram is used for brand building.

YouTube is an online video sharing platform. YouTube allows law firms to create their own channels with their own content focused on information about various areas of law and video advertisements.

TikTok is a short-form, video-sharing app that allows users to create and share 15-second to one-minute videos, on any topic. TikTok is very much a brand awareness tool for users of social media.
